Steeping Instructions:

Infusion: To obtain the best flavors from our teas, crush the herbs between your fingers to release aromatic oils. Bring water just up to a boil. Steeping herbs in water that is too hot can cause essential oils to be lost in the steam. Use 1 Tbsp of herbs per cup of tea. Place herbs in tea ball, tea pot, tea bag, or pot to strain out after steeping. Steep 10 min. or longer for a stronger flavor.

Decoction: Some of our herbs require making a decoction to obtain the chemical compounds from the herbs. These include Ashwagandha, Valerian Root, and Rose Hips. To make a decoction, place about 1 Tbsp herbs per cup into a sauce pan. Bring water up to a boil. Reduce heat and allow herbs to simmer covered for ten minutes. Strain.

Most importantly, enjoy.
